This program is a mandatory pre-shipment inspection process designed to verify that imported products meet both national and international standards, preventing costly delays and ensuring seamless customs clearance at the port of destination.
Regulated Product Categories
Our comprehensive surveying services cover the following cargo types:
- Bulk Cargo (Dry or Liquid): Cargoes in a mass of one commodity not packaged, bundled, bottled, or otherwise packed. This includes volume loads that are shoveled, scooped, forked, pumped, or mechanically conveyed directly into a vessel’s hold.
- Loose Cargo: Unbound goods loaded in a loose, unpackaged form without a specific unit count.
- Break Bulk (General Cargo): Non-containerized general cargo stored in boxes, bales, pallets, or other individual units for loading and discharge
- Individually Loaded Goods: Cargo described in terms of quantity and weight (e.g., steel coils, logs, sacks of rice) that is not shipped in containers or as standard bulk (like oil or grain).
- Weighted Commodities: Liquids, chemicals, petroleum products, and all other bulk/break bulk shipments where duties and taxes are typically determined by weight (e.g., wood, steel, coal, grains).
