European and national requirements for eye protection equipment
Product and testing standards as well as regulations laid down by professional associations determine the requirements and specifications for eye protection equipment. These fall under the EU Directive 89/868/EEC personal protection equipment (PPE). This is where the minimum requirements are stipulated for testing and assessment.
The PSA guidelines as well as the standards for eye protection equipment are the basis of our testing and certification scheme. The certification of personal protection equipment according to demand and the needs of the market is accomplished by means of individual certification schemes which are designed with the active participation of the circles concerned.
