The DIN collective marks
The collective marks of DIN may be affixed to products or services on the manufacturer's own responsibility. DIN is the owner of the collective marks DIN and DIN EN. The rules on the use of these marks state the conditions on which marking is permitted. This also involves the manufacturer applying for registration of the product or service concerned with DIN CERTCO.
Use of the collective marks DIN or DIN EN implies that the products or services so marked meet the requirements in the relevant DIN and DIN EN Standards, respectively. The manufacturer or importer may apply these marks on his own responsibility, i. e. as a "manufacturer's declaration of conformity".
The collective marks DIN and DIN EN cannot be applied in cases where a DIN certification mark is provided for the marking of a product or service.
Special DIN registrations
