Burglary Protection
The unpleasant notion of being burgled is one that is ever more frequently becoming a reality. Most people fortunately still have no first-hand experience of the aftermath of a burglary. The path to obtaining the DIN CERTCO Qualified Enterprise Certificate comprises three stages:
- training and testing of specialist knowledge of the responsible personnel in the product categories Windows, Doors and/or Supplementary fittings.
- verification by experienced inspectors of qualified performance of an installation on an object in the categories Windows, Doors and/or Supplementary fittings.
- evaluation of the results by DIN CERTCO.
In the case of positive assessment, the enterprise is awarded a certificate and is permitted to use the title/mark "DIN CERTCO Qualified Enterprise".
The certificate enables the enterprise to document to prospective customers its competence in the proper installation of burglary protection in the categories Windows, Doors, and/or Supplementary fittings.
To achieve certification, the enterprise must provide evidence of the following:
- training of all relevant personnel and of their ongoing practical experience
- instruction of specialist personnel
- proper equipment of the enterprise
- record of business activities
- police certificate of good conduct for all employees
Certification by DIN CERTCO of qualified enterprises for mechanical safety fittings serves to reinforce the confidence in the enterprise on the part of customers seeking burglary protection and provides the enterprise with the means to distinguish the service they offer from the mass of their competitors.
Consumers are in a position not only to choose the right products but also to find the qualified enterprise that will ensure that the products purchased are proper installed.
