Accreditation and acknowledgements in eye protection

According to the European directive for personal protective equipment (EU Directive 89/868/EWG) eye protection equipment must be tested and certified before being introduced for trading on the European Single Market. As a Notified Body of the EU Commission (Notified Body 0196) the Testing and Certification Centre DIN CERTCO PZA assesses eye protection equipment in accordance with the harmonised European standards and norms and issues EG prototype-test certificates as a prerequisite for the CE mark.

Furthermore, DIN CERTCO PZA is also accredited by the Central Authority for Safety Technology of the Länder (ZLS) and is entitled to issue the GS mark (GS = safety tested) according to the Appliances and Products Safety Act (GPSG).

Finally, for the voluntary field, we are in possession of all the necessary accreditations as testing and certification body through the DAP, German Accreditation System for Testing GmbH, (Registration number DAP-ZE-2460.00), in order to grant to the manufacturers, after successful testing and assessment, the authorisation to use the DIN conformity and Quality Marks. Many enterprises operating internationally benefit worldwide from using the highly regarded DIN marks to clearly demonstrate that the consistently good quality of their products has been proven by recognised testing techniques and procedures.
